This flood study involves various phases under Risk MAP. The Phase 1 was completed in July of 2021 and involved creating county-wide approximate floodplains using rainfall runoff watershed models. The Phase 1 project focused on draft floodplains and discussions about hazard mitigation and future flood study scoping. A Phase 2 was initiated in November of 2021, which involves detailed study and generation of enhanced level (Zone AE) floodplains. These floodplains will be used to update regulatory products and assist community officials in flood risk reduction through mitigation action and informing community development.
