A Physical Map Revision (PMR) is being completed to update the Larimer County Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS). This update is being conducted to replace flood risk information on the following streams:
  • Dry Creek from its confluence with Little Thompson River to 1.2 miles upstream of Schofield Road.
  • Little Thompson River from its confluence with Big Thompson River to 0.2 miles downstream of Hermit Park Road.
  • North Fork Little Thompson River from its confluence with Little Thompson River to 13 miles upstream.
  • West Fork Little Thompson River from its confluence with Little Thompson River to 2.3 miles upstream of CO RD 82E.
This update will affect 23 panels covering part of the County, the Town of Berthoud, the Town of Estes Park, and the Town of Johnstown. The streams were restudied to reflect changes after flooding in 2013. For more information on the analysis, refer to the Colorado Hazard Mapping Program (CHAMP) Floodplain Mapping.
