LiDAR Download Portal

Welcome to the LiDAR Download Portal, this site is maintained by CWCB to provide access to CO LiDAR data.

CWCB, in partnership with other agencies, started acquiring Quality Level 2 LiDAR data in 2010 with the intent of obtaining coverage of the full state. Complete coverage is anticipated by the fall of 2022.

Initially the extent of all available datasets is shown on the map and listed on the table in the sidebar

The "Dataset Filters" section located in the left sidebar and shown in the image below can be used to filter the datasets shown, either with an open text search, or by picking a publish year or county

To show tiles for a dataset, click the ">" icon in the table for the desired dataset, the tiles will be loaded and then shown in the table, on the map, and the map will zoom to the selected dataset as shown below

Tiles can be selected by checking the checkbox in the table, clicking an individual tile on the map, or drawing an area to select tiles within using the buttons shown below

As tiles are selected, the "LiDAR Request Form" in the bottom of the sidebar will update showing how many tiles are selected, available formats, and the estimated file size. Note that at least one format must be selected for a filesize to be estimated.

Depending on the estimated filesize, you can download the files <= 1GB directly. If your selections are larger than 1GB but <= 200 GB you will be prompted to enter your email address and the portal will build a bundle of the requested files and email you a download link when ready. For selections over 200 GB, you will be able to download the details of your request to send via email to CWCB directly. You can also consider making multiple online requests, each below the 200 GB threshold.
